A delivery window from 11:30 PM to 12:30 AM, chosen at checkout like any other slot. It needs six hours' notice as a minimum — order by early evening for the same night, and earlier than that on a weekend or a festival date.
It is the one slot that carries a surcharge, and the amount is shown on the slot itself before you choose it. Nothing is added afterwards, and every other slot in the day is delivered free.
Getting it to the right door at midnight
Give the address with a landmark, not just a house number. A rider who can find the gate in daylight can lose ten minutes on the same lane at half past eleven, and those ten minutes are the whole point of the slot.
Leave a phone number that will actually be answered at that hour — ideally not the person being surprised. Most late deliveries that go wrong go wrong on a ringing phone nobody picks up.
What survives the wait
Cream cakes are at their best straight out of the box, so have fridge space ready if the cutting is going to wait until after the candles and the photographs.
