Who you are dealing with

These terms govern your use of the AVS Bakery website and mobile app, and every order you place through them. Using either means you accept them.

Your account

Ordering in the app requires a phone number verified by one-time password. You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping access to that number.

Give us an address and a contact number we can actually reach on the day. Most failed deliveries are wrong or incomplete addresses.

Orders, prices and availability

An order placed in the app is an offer to buy. The contract forms when we confirm it. We may decline an order — an item sells out, the address is unreachable, the slot cannot be met — and if we do, you owe nothing.

Prices are in INR and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. The price that applies is the one shown in your cart at checkout, which the server recalculates from the live catalogue before the order is accepted.

If a price or description is obviously wrong — a decimal in the wrong place — we will contact you rather than silently charging or silently cancelling.

Payment is cash on delivery. We do not take card or online payment through the app.

Custom and photo cakes

A handmade cake made from a reference photograph will resemble that photograph; it will not be identical to it. Colours, proportions and finish vary, and that variation is not a defect.

Edible photo printing reproduces your image at the resolution you supply. A small, blurred or heavily compressed photo will print that way.

By uploading an image you confirm you have the right to use it, and you allow us to print it on your order. We refuse images that are unlawful, obscene, hateful, or that infringe someone else's copyright or trademark.

Images you upload are stored with the order they belong to. Ask us at hello@avsbakery.in if you want one removed once the order is done.

Cancellation, complaints and credit

Cancellation cut-offs, the 24-hour complaint window and the store-credit remedy are set out in the returns policy, which forms part of these terms.

The policy that applies to an order is the version you accepted when you placed it. We record that version on the order.

Our liability

Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — a cancelled party, a missed celebration, or a spoiled occasion.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Content, changes and law

Photographs, recipes, designs and text on this site and in the app belong to AVS Bakery. Do not reuse them commercially without our permission.

We may update these terms. The version that governs an order is the one recorded on it. Continued use of the app means you accept the current version for future orders.

These terms are governed by Indian law, and the courts at Ramgarh, Jharkhand have jurisdiction.
